From Babies to Boomers
Countries with a young demographic profile can be attractive for investment due to their potential for economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurial activity.
Last week my dear friend Grant Williams (who has been helping me get The Mad King into shape) published my first article about demographics called “From Babies to Boomers”.
The feedback has been overwhelming. Therefore, I decided to share it with you today.
While this topic has been discussed repeatedly, I bring new charts to it, adding some layers to the story.

Demographics is an essential key trend for investors as it provides insights into the characteristics and behaviours of different population groups, which are crucial in determining which industries, products, and services are likely to be in high demand.
Demographic data can help investors identify opportunities and potential risks in various sectors of the economy, as well as in different geographic regions.
I used this first article as a base case that I will build on in the coming months.
Enjoy the read, and have a lovely weekend.

I will be curious to see how or whether you will allow for corruption that allegedly exists in some of these fast growing countries.
Are the demographic tailwinds able to overcome endemic corruption going forward so that these places will flourish. Alas, I doubt I'll be around to find out :)
